Artificial Intelligence Usage Notice

1. The Nature of the "Chef Clara AI" Assistant

Chef Clara is a technology based on third-party Artificial Intelligence models (OpenAI, for text and photo analysis, and Fal.ai, for the recipe book's illustrative images). She was programmed to provide culinary companionship, food substitution suggestions, and low glycemic load menu ideas. Chef Clara is not a real person, nor does she act as a licensed physician or clinical nutritionist.

2. Scope of the Food and Photo Scanner

• The optical scanning feature sends your photo to a vision-capable AI model to identify ingredients and estimate the dish's glycemic impact.
• Guidance-only estimates, not infallible: since certain preparations may contain hidden ingredients (such as refined flours, starches, or added sugars that aren't visible), the analyses are estimates and do not guarantee 100% laboratory-level accuracy. The Scanner also does not guarantee the detection of allergens or cross-contamination.
• Whenever you have doubts about ingredients at restaurants or in commercial products, you should always prioritize checking the ingredient list directly or asking staff on site.

3. How Voice with Clara Works

• When you speak to Clara, your own phone converts your voice to text using your browser's speech recognition feature — that conversion happens on your device, not on our servers.
• We never send or store a recording of your voice: only the resulting text from that transcription is sent to Clara, exactly as if you had typed it. Clara also doesn't reply with generated voice — all of her responses are text messages.
• The responses generated by Clara are automated suggestions. Users should evaluate each recommendation according to their own gastric tolerance, allergy history, or specific medical guidance.

4. Privacy and Handling of Your Photos and Queries

• Photos of your meals are sent for analysis and are not stored permanently in our database — only the analysis result is kept. Your text queries to Clara are saved to give the conversation continuity.
